This website, mankeesookram.com, is run by Ria N. Mankee-Sookram, Attorney-at-Law and family business advisor, based in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago (“I”, “me”, “my”). This policy explains what personal information I collect through this website, why, and what you can ask me to do with it.
What I collect
- When you contact me through the contact form: your name, email address, phone number, the reason you are getting in touch, how soon you need help, your budget range, how you heard about me, and anything you choose to tell me about your situation.
- When you take the free Legacy DNA check: your name, email address, your role in the family business, your answers and your results.
- When you request a free guide (such as the Legacy Blueprint): your email address.
- When you visit the site: basic technical information such as your device, browser, approximate location and the pages you view, collected through cookies and similar tools (see below).
Why I use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a conversation if you ask for one.
- To send you your Legacy DNA results and the guides you request.
- To send you a short series of follow-up emails with practical guidance after you take the check or request a guide. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To understand how the website is used, so I can improve it, and to measure and improve my advertising.
I do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Contacting me through this website is not a retainer
Sending a message, taking the Legacy DNA check or requesting a guide does not create an attorney-client relationship. Please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information through the website until we have agreed to work together. I treat every enquiry discreetly, and I do not share what you tell me with other family members, business partners or third parties without your permission, except where the law requires it.
Who else handles your information
I use a small number of trusted service providers to run this website. They handle your information only to provide their service to me:
- Website hosting (InMotion Hosting), where the site, its forms and my email list are stored.
- Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the site.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), where I use advertising tools such as the Meta Pixel to measure and improve my ads.
- Payhip and PayPal, if you buy my book or another product. Payments are handled on their platforms; I do not see or store your card details.
- WhatsApp, if you choose to contact me that way.
Some of these providers store information outside Trinidad and Tobago.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. This site uses cookies that it needs to work, and cookies from Google Analytics and Meta that help me understand visits and measure advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, although some features may not.
How long I keep it
I keep enquiry and email-list information for as long as it is useful for the purpose you gave it for, or until you ask me to delete it or unsubscribe. If we go on to work together, your information is kept as part of my professional records for the period required by law and professional rules.
Your choices
You can ask me at any time to tell you what information I hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You can unsubscribe from my emails using the link at the bottom of any email. To make a request, email ria@mankeesookram.com.
Children
This website is intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
